Humans tend to blame things that they don't know, or they are not aware of. That's why blame is usually directed to new, shinny things. Almost all inventions in human history, are tools that can be used the right or the wrong way. Blaming the tool about the results of, intentionally or unintentionally, wrong usage, drives nowhere.
According to science, this is called "Blame Bias" and distorts Our judgment. This unjust behaviour should be regarded as a survival factor. People do it because they don't like 1. to hurt their ego, 2. to take responsibility, 3. get out of their comfort zone. At the same time, people want to be accepted as being right.
