Consensus Mechanisms
Decentralized blockchain networks rely on consensus mechanisms to validate and agree on the state of the ledger. Consensus algorithms ensure that all nodes in the network reach an agreement on the validity of transactions and the order in which they are recorded. Popular consensus mechanisms include Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Stake (PoS), and variants like Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT). These mechanisms enable trust among participants without the need for a centralized authority to verify transactions.
