Basic Concept
In simple words, sending and receiving crypto is like writing a special note to move digital money from one piggy bank (address) to another on a big book (blockchain ledger) that everyone can see. It's all about writing the right message and making sure it gets recorded correctly in the ledger for everyone to see.
Imagine you have this special piggy bank, but instead of holding coins, it holds little pieces of code that represent your digital money (crypto/tokens). When you want to send some of your digital money to a friend, you write a special message on a piece of paper saying how much you want to send and to whom. This message is like a special note that tells the piggy bank to move the right amount of digital money to your friend's piggy bank.
Now, your piggy bank is connected to a big book (blockchain) where everyone keeps track of who has how much digital money. When you send your special note, it's like sending a message to everyone who has a copy of this big book, telling them to verify & update the pages to show that you've sent some digital money to your friend.
Your friend's piggy bank also has a special code, called an address. When you send your special note to the blockchain, you include your friend's address so the digital money goes to the right place. Your friend can then check their piggy bank and see that the digital money you sent has arrived.
