What is a Crypto Wallet?

A crypto wallet gives you access to your digital assets stored on the blockchain and it's not where your money sits. Instead, it's a tool that lets you interact with the blockchain, the digital ledger where all crypto transactions are recorded. It is a user interface that allows you to query your crypto’s blockchain for information, receive funds from other users, send funds to others , check your balance on the ledger and write & transmit transactions to the blockchain.

In essence, a blockchain wallet isn't like a physical safe at all.

At the heart of a blockchain wallet are two crucial elements: your private key and your public address.
