Key ellement of CEXs

CEXs are online platforms used to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. They are the most common means investors use to buy and sell cryptocurrency holdings. The key element that makes them stand out, compared to DEXs, is that they offer Fiat/Crypto pairs together with deep liquidity.

Many of the largest centralized cryptocurrency exchanges offer Fiat/Crypto pairs (like BTC/USD) however, most are not regulated. Part of the reason for this is that they serve as an access point to the crypto market while they don't have an established presence in the U.S.

Many investors use CEXs as Fiat-crypto on/off-ramp solution.
